Blackwork Flowers Band

A beautiful band of flowers done in blackwork (or backstitch), embellished with beads. A great little sampler for improving blackwork skills (intermediate level).

Ryan Evelyth created this Hardanger Sampler for Nordic Needle's 2016 Retreat. This advanced beginner-level band includes includes traditional, linear motifs in your choice of simple backstitching or reversible Holbein Blackwork. A dash of beading is included in the finishing design for additional sparkle. Stitch in colors of your choice or traditional black. Suggested supplies: 9" of 25 count white Dublin linen (if stitching together with other 2016 Retreat bands, you will need a 12" piece); DMC floss 524, 3042
