485 – Paternayan Persian wool

Paternayan Persian Wool was one of the first and most widely known brands of Persian wool. The brand was manufactured by a number of different companies, however the last one stopped production around 2019. The listings on our website represent our remaining stock of Paternayan Persian wool. Please note that Colonial Persian has hired one of Paternayan’s spinners and is now producing an almost-indistinguishable product. The Stitcher’s Muse can special-order all colours of Colonial Persian.

General information:
Persian yarn, also called Persian wool, is made up of 3 strands, each of which has two plies, and has a loose twist. It is perfect for heirloom-quality needlepoint, crewel, cross stitch, and more.
