Zweigart’s Belfast linen has a beautiful drape and open weave that is perfect for cross stitch, embroidery, and many kinds of counted thread work. It has 32 threads per inch and is usually stitched over two threads, giving it a count similar to 16 count Aida fabric. Linen fabrics have a natural unevenness in thread thickness, giving it lovely character.

Flax is approximately equivalent in colour to mixing DMC embroidery floss colours 3782 and 712.
