Hardanger is a method of embroidery and this fabric was designed especially for it. It features bundles of two threads woven in each direction for a delicate look. Hardanger is a type of Norwegian cutwork with a lovely lacy effect.

Generally used for embroidery, it can also be used by cross stitchers looking for delicate detail. It's often used for projects like ornaments and doilies. Hardanger projects make wonderful heirlooms.
