Shipping to the USA
🇺🇸 A Quick Note for Our US Friends
As of August 29th, the USA has removed the minimum import value—which means every single parcel, no matter how small, now needs extra paperwork. Each shipment has to show that duties/tariffs have been paid and list the country of origin for every item inside.
The silver lining is that Canada Post has teamed up with a company to make this smoother, but it does add quite a bit more work on our end. Because of that, our handling charges for US orders may go up a little. We’ll definitely keep shipping to the US—it just may cost a bit more than before.
Here’s what we know so far about product origins:
-
✅ Still duty-free: Items made in the US, like EdMar, Weeks Dye Works, The Gentle Art, and many designers’ charts.
-
🇫🇷 From France: DMC thread and Bohin needles.
-
🍁 From Canada: Canadian designers’ charts and patterns.
-
🇯🇵/🇺🇸 Mill Hill: A bit tricky—beads are from Japan, but kits are assembled in the US (we’re confirming details).
-
🇦🇺 From Australia: Inspirations books.
We’ll keep this page updated as things unfold. And if you’re ever wondering where a product in your order comes from—or you just want to double-check—please reach out by email, phone, Facebook DM, or our website chat. We’re always happy to help. 💙
