Shipping parcels
Thanks for checking up on our shipping policy!

We do our best to get your purchases to you as quickly, conveniently, and inexpensively as possible. Sometimes the shipping cost that is programmed into our website software aren't as accurate as it could be, so sometimes shipping is more expensive than that quoted. On the other hand, sometimes it's less, too, and in that case we will refund the difference or capture a different amount that what you have authorized. Either way, we'll let you know if there's an issue. If we don't have all the items you ordered in stock, you'll be given the option of us sending a part order or waiting until it's complete - we do our best to offer approximate timelines but we can't predict the future, and sometimes items are discontinued or back-ordered from our suppliers, so it might take longer than expected. We do our best to communicate with you but encourage you to check back with us periodically if you don't receive updates from us. Just a note, too, that we have an extensive mailing list and because of that sometimes emails from us are mistakenly sorted into spam or junk mail - please check these folders carefully.

Here's the dry stuff:

Packages are generally dispatched within 2 days after receipt of payment and are shipped via Canada Post. Shipping costs are kept to a minimum. Tracking is only available on larger or bulky packages and result in higher shipping costs. Drop off with signature is extra. If you prefer delivery by other carriers such as UPS or Canpar, extra charges will apply. Please contact us if you prefer shipping by other means than Canada Post.

Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs. Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to total weight and size of the shipment. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them, however on some occasions we may be able to waive this policy - please phone or email us if you place two orders within a day or so of each other. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.


Returns are accepted within 60 days of purchase with original receipt or evidence of purchase on your customer account. The items must be unused and in the original packaging - torn or damaged packaging will result in a repacking fee. Due to copyright laws, there will be no returns on books, patterns, charts, and other printed material. No returns on scissors unless package remains sealed. Returned items are refunded as store credit towards future purchases. Reshelving fees apply to returns over $50.00 in value or more than 20 items. The customer is responsible for return postage for returns if applicable. Some exceptions may apply.
