In this design you’ll use different floss weights to create the prominent stamen of the cosmos, and you will also use the technique as a stand-alone flower such as the drizzlebuds.
Other stitch ideas used in this small floral include Rosalie Wakefield’s Lazy-Satin-Daisy, the delicate Lady Fern Couching and Reverse Lazy Daisy, plus the up-down cast-on, and colonial knots. A color photo, stitch guide and finishing suggestions are included with all Millefiori designs. This is an intermediate-advanced level Brazilian embroidery design.
