a sampler commemorating the Battle of Vimy Ridge: a World War 1 battle fought primarily by Canadian soldiers in France, and which has become a symbol of Canadian national achievement and sacrifice. It is stitched in silk, but overdyed cotton and DMC floss conversions will be available. It will be written in the JDD sampler style of writing little notes on why Jeannette used what she did in each row and the significance. This is a continuation in the 'Stitches' series and all patterns fit into the Acorn box by Olde Colonial Designs. They can alternately be framed. Box top is in colour, framed piece is monochrome. They are both wonderful in their own way.

A triple delight with a sampler that has 3 bands in one! this sampler was built out of the idea for the 2009 Shepherd's Bush retreat theme of 'a sampling of myself' attended by Jeannette. It uses all silk threads and has lovely little charms and buttons to complete it.
