EAC Seminar 2012
I’m just back from the Embroiderers’ Guild of Canada Seminar 2012, which was held in Victoria, BC, this year. Carol and I were there as a vendor, so unfortunately we did not get to take any classes, but we had a great time anyway!
I’ve often said it before, but it bears repeating: I have the best customers in the world! Sometimes it was very busy, with 10 or 15 people lined up at the till – and then the debit/credit machine goes on the blink – but everything went fine and no one complained or was grumpy.
Because of Seminar, I have been very busy with bringing in new stock and re-stocking our regular supplies. I am very busy trying to get it all up on the website but it will take several months just to get the new stuff on there, let alone the older stock – so if you’ve been “cruising” the website, please have a bit more patience – it is taking a lot longer than I had anticipated.
As a taste, we have brought in JBW Designs (little “quickies” in single or low number
s of colours, of designs-within-designs), Brenda E. Kocher (gorgeous canvaswork designs), and Yiota’s Cross Stitch out of the UK (famous artwork). We are keeping up with Nora Corbett/Mirabilia, Victoria Sampler, Just Nan and Sue Coleman/Stitching Studio, amongst others. The latest Nora Corbett pixie (Cherry Blossom) is lovely (and purple!), and Victoria Sampler’s French Linen Pockets are enticing. As are all the others! Drop by the shop or keep an eye on the website for when I get a chance to enter the new stock.
