  • Metallic Threads

    Metallic threads in a variety of colours, sizes, and twists for needlepoint, canvaswork, embroidery, lace making, cross stitch, and other types of needlework. May also be used as bobbin threads or couched for machine embroidery

  • Perlé (pearl) threads

    Perlé cotton is a tightly twisted, non-divisible threads available in a variety of sizes (thicknesses). The higher the number, the thinner the thread, thus #3 is the thickest, and #12 is the thinnest. Commonly available in sizes 3, 5, 8, and 12. Suitable for a number of different uses including needlepoint, canvaswork, cross stitch, linen embroidery, surface embroidery, crazy quilting, and lacemaking (crochet, knitting, bobbin lace, tatting, and needle lace). Perlé or pearl cotton derives its name from the tight twist, which causes a stitched piece to resemble (a little) a string of pearls.

  • Embroidery Floss

    Stranded embroidery thread that is divisible into individual strands. Strands are often re-combined to ensure adequate coverage of the background fabric. May be used for cross stitch, surface embroidery, needlepoint/canvaswork, crazy quilting, and many other embroidery or lace making projects. Often available in a large variety of colours.
    May be made of silk, cotton, or wool.
    Individual strands are usually about size 25, and often in 6 strands, though 12 and 7 strands are common in silks.

  • Lace Making Threads

    Tightly twisted threads designed for crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, and other lace making techniques. Mostly 100% cotton.
    Sizes vary from size 3 (very thick) to size 100 (sewing thread weight). The higher the number, the finer the thread. The heavier weights are also suitable for quilt tying, Sashiko embroidery, and candlewicking.

  • Ribbon

    Ribbons for embroidery, silk and metallic

  • Wool

    Threads made from wool - sheep, alpaca, angora, and others. Includes tapestry wool, crewel wool, Persian wool, and wool blends.

  • Rayon

    Very high lustre and shine and brilliant colours. Available in a variety of weights/thicknesses.

  • Novelty

    Fibres of unusual content or texture. Great additions for embellishment, to add a special "something" to your next needlework project. Great for scrapbooking too!
